Booking for someone else

A Few Tips Before You Book

A little detail goes a long way when the person you’re welcoming doesn’t know we’re coming.

Book a Greeting for Someone
  • Use your own phone and email. That way Reggie confirms the details with you and the surprise stays safe.
  • Enter the traveler’s flight. We track it on FlightAware, so delays and early arrivals are taken care of.
  • Choose the name for the sign. Their name, a family name or a short welcome like “Aloha, Mom & Dad”.
  • Say if it’s a surprise. Add a note when you book and we’ll keep it that way.
  • Paying for them? You’re welcome to. Add a note when you book, and Reggie will arrange payment with you when he confirms the details.

Questions About Sending a Lei Greeting

Can I book a lei greeting for someone else?

Yes, and it’s something we arrange often. Share the traveler’s flight details and the name you’d like on the welcome sign, and we’ll greet them for you.

Can the lei greeting be a surprise?

Yes. Let us know when you book and we’ll keep it a surprise. Use your own phone and email so we confirm the details with you, not the traveler.

Can I pay for someone else’s lei greeting?

Either of you. You’re welcome to pay for someone else’s greeting: add a note when you book, and Reggie will arrange payment with you when he confirms the details. Otherwise the traveler pays in person when we meet them, by cash, card or payment app. Only groups of eight or more need to call to arrange their greeting.

How will they find you at the airport?

We wait at the foot of the escalators beside Baggage Claim at Kahului Airport (OGG), holding a sign with the name you choose. See the terminal map.

How far ahead should I book?

At least six hours before the flight lands. Greetings run Monday through Saturday, 8 am to 5 pm Hawaiʻi time, and we are closed on Sundays. Booking last minute?

What does it cost?

Prices are per lei: $57 for one guest, $47 each for two to five, and $37 each for six or more, with premium lei $10 more. Hawaiʻi General Excise Tax is added. See all prices.
